Be ready with your garden hose and as he walks through your garden.........soak him profusely........
-
Have you asked him not to do that? It might just be a matter of verbally communicating your wishes. Be polite, and if he doesn't do it again, be assertive, then foreceful, then demanding. But never rude!
-
A "No Trespassing" sign, a security video camera for proof, and repeated calls to the cops to report him and repeatedly charge and fine him ... after a few dozen tickets, he'll realize it is too expensive of a route and he'll find an acceptable detour.
-
plant a Pyranctha in a large tub - theyre the most evil shrubs - were once placed around Moats of castles to keep all living creatures out!
-
Formally (in writing, or better yet, record it, unless local laws prevent you from taping such a conversation) inform him that he is no longer allowed on your property Start calling the police when he trespasses and take pictures for evidence. That or you could get a dog and use his waste as manure for that portion of the garden. You could install a bigger fence. Install a system which turns on the sprinklers whenever someone is detected in your garden. Sue him for damages in small claims court.

If this is a good neighbor, you might want to think twice before losing that friendship. Have you talked to this person? Some people just do not get it.
-
WARNING: DO NOT ATTEMPT first: kick him in the shin. second: punch him in the face. third:stab him in the throat. fourth:watch him suffer 4 about 1-2 minutes. fifth: push him down. sixth: roll him to the nearest sewer vent. seventh: kick him down the sewer. eighth: watch him drown in sewage until he floats away. And thats how 2 get rid of ur annoying neighbor/neighbors. Golden Rule: Dont let anyone c u do this unless ur going 2 use these instructions on them 2. LOL JUST KIDDING GUYS ANYONE WHO WOULD DO THIS IS REALLY SICK MAN I MEAN SIIIIICK!!!

Try putting up a sign that says "(please?)Stay off the lawn!!" Maybe even adding something like "rabid gophers will strike at any time!! :oP Definitely try talking to him first.
-
What should you do? 1) Communicate your wishes if you haven't already. This is taking an active step vs. a very passive one-foot-fence one. 2) If the neighbor still insists on going against your wishes, put up a bigger fence and/or a sign saying "Please don't trample the flowers." After all, it may not JUST be him. 3) Fertilize the hedge. :o) +2 for good ?
-
I would mention it to him. He may be completely oblivious. Keep your cool and ask him politely not to continue to walk through your yard, as you have damage done to your gerden and now your fence. He will likely apologize, feel sheepish, and not do it again.
-
1. Ask him to walk around 2. Build a taller fence. 3. construct a flagstone pathway to allow him to pass without harming your plants 4. Plant mature hedges in the way (you can get them from some nurseries or landscaping companies)
-
Put up a sign warning of a bear trap. Then lay down some bear traps. He'll learn his lesson or learn to walk with a cane.
-
Put a relatively narrow pathway through the garden - stepping stones, and ask him to use them. (If you put them where he normally walks, there should be no problem.) If he refuses to use them and walks on your plants, you KNOW he's doing it on purpose. We have a mailman that walks across our yard (and our neighbors'). I HATE that when it snows and it looks so nice out there, but the neighbor, next door, actually dug out a path for him when it was deep.

Purchase a few Honeylocust trees and make them your hedge. With thorns from an inch to 8 inches long. THAT will deter anyone. http://www.extension.iastate.edu/pages/tree/h-locust.html

Land mine.

We used to have a mailman who insisted on walking through my garden. I finally went down to the post office and reported him. I also put up a keep out sign where he could most definitely see it. A sign where it's most visible would be a good idea, and a taller fence, also. This would, of course be after you've discussed it with the neighbor about the fact that they shouldn't walk through your garden.

put up a posted sign then a electric fence.

Communication is the key, if you are on speaking terms, then tell your neighbour that you are building a new flower bed and landscaping the garden, and you would appreciate it if he didn't destroy your new arrangement. If he is an arsehole and verbally/ physically intimidates you, then get a sturdy 6 foot fence up with concrete posts, plant behind this a mixture of Hawthorne, blackthorne and buckthorne. the needles to these plants when established are impassable. dig in plenty of organic compost before planting, water regularly for the first 2 years, they will grow 1 foot a year. ( only plant if facing the sun side, they wont grow against a dark fence) Alternatively you could get a county order against the guy, for trespassing or an antisocial behavioural order in the UK.Go to the local authority to ask the question. This should be the last resort.

Have you solved the problem yet, Blind Bat? If not, plant euphorbia milii var. splendens. AKA Crown of thorns or Christ thorn or Christ plant Christusdorn-Wolfsmilch It's a nice flowering plant with nasty thorns. I had it under my windows, thorns are a great deterrent for robbers. Or the everpresent rosebushes. Big flowers for you to enjoy, nice and fragrant. But make sure you get a really thorny variety. Some have little or no thorns now.

My husband and I moved into our home over a year ago. Our backyard faces the woods and our neighbors were freely going through our backyard into the woods to enter the park without our permission. We don't have a trail for anyone to enter and didn't want to start one!! They did this when the previous owners lived there. We have a screened in porch and hey you never know if you want to have hanky panky on your back porch without neighbors intruding!! We walled off their favorite entrance into the woods with logs for our fireplace and made it extra difficult on them to get through, now they go down the street to enter the woods. Otherwise, we would have told them we needed our privacy and this had to stop.
