Absolutely, but mostly, I always point someone who makes me laugh:)
-
You bet. Anyone who can give an intelligent or funny or uplifting answer will get points from me, just for making my day more enjoyable.
-
I give points for breathing. HA! I'm not stingy with 'em.
-
I give points for everything.
-
Yes..those answers can be very helpful to any number of people :)
-
G'day Royal77, Thanks for your question. Yes. I often do as sometimes humour or empathy is just as important as intelligence. Regards
-
I give points for intelligence, making me laugh, taking a joke, anything really. Sometimes I'll go and run a user who seems to get downrated more often than some, and just give them as many points as I can =/.
-
I give points for answers that are helpful, well thought out, well argued (even if I disagree with the point of view), funny, uplifting, generally entertaining, or intelligent. In fact, if I ask a question I give points to anyone who takes the time to answer.
-
Hiya Royal77. I give points if the answer is really nice, cute and funny.
-
Yes I would. All of those indicate good people!!
-
If they put a smile on my face or can make me laugh, they get the points and a big thank you. ;)
-
Yes to all. I have a lot of respect for someone who has the ability to be a good sport about something, especially when someone is teasing them (not meanly, but good-naturedly). :-)
-
Of course. There isn't much real smart left around here these days anyhow. I define smart as better than yes/no and cutting and pasting web content to AB. The people who are particualrly gifted in the support/advice/help areas can't fake smart, now THAT is REALLY impressive and we have lots of those here.
-
Yeah for sure! That helps create a great environment! :)
-
I live to laugh it brightens up the day....humour always gets my points....as do people who get trolled for no good reason :D
-
I would give points for all those reasons ..and have.
-
Absolutely. The older I get, the more I learn that while it is nice to be important, it is important to be nice. Or, alternatively: Being smart is nice, being nice is smart. Birds have two wings, or they could not fly. Buddhism teaches one must have a wing of compassion and a wing of knowledge. If both wings are not the same size, one cannot fly.
-
Points to ALL who answer any of questions. Even I know if it's a fact that I know is incorrect, I still give points for answering.
-
I give my maximum points to anyone who takes the time to show up, unless the response is disrespectful in some way or totally non-responsive...or if I just don't understand,"get" the response. I usually ask for clarification when I don't get it, and then will award max points. :) In that way I avoid favoritism..you know, friends showing up or people in total agreement with me..that's not fair to me, so I don't do it. When you answer one of my questions, you get a level playing field! :)
-
heck, I just gave you a point because you were at 99 and I thought it would be neat to give that vote that sends you over the edge. I think there are many reasons to give a point or two to people. To each his own. 8D
-
Yes, those are excellent reasons to reward points. But I always give points to those who answer my questions, unless it's offensive.
-
I give points to everyone who answers, unless they are completely mean spirited, but I don't give neg points to anyone.
-
I would.
-
Yes, I sure would give points for making us laugh and for helping us have a good time.- -------------------------Hola Yamile---

I vote for answers that support this site. Many people don't seem to realize that the purpose of points is to determine which answers are the most "trustworthy". Please see the "about us" at the bottom of the page.
