  • You have multiple personalities? Can you tell me how to do that? I've always wanted to be an Edgar!
  • Just be yourself. It's easier.
  • I have read that if you want to change something about yourself, act like it has already happened. The best example of that is when you are feeling sad, and you want to cheer yourself up, pretend you are feeling good, and smile at everyone you meet, hum a happy song, and before long you really have cheered up. It works with other personality traits as well. I used to think I was ugly, but my wise cousin said, fix my hair like the pretty girls do, wear the kind of clothes the pretty girls do, and smile the way pretty girls do, and it worked. In a few weeks everyone remarked on how nice I looked.
  • Well I would definitely just first try using your "internet" personality to close friends that way they can evaluate if it is better than your "real life" personality. If that goes well you should try it with others and eventually it will become a habit and eventually build upon or even better your "real life" personality.
  • It's definitely easier to be easy going and free thinking with people when you're not right in front of them. When I started converting, I began carrying a surfboard everwhere that says, "Porn", followed by changing my vocabulary to spelling everything in shorthand (ex. LOL, ROFL, WTF). So far it's not going well. And why doesn't anyone believe I'm a 13 year old girl? Is it the mustache or the receeding hairline?
  • What I have seen on here, everyone has their high and low points, that is human nature. I am certainly guilty of it myself. But on here, as in person, you can still read between the lines and weigh someone. It is an art, not a science.
  • Apply all the positive feedback that you are getting on AB to your real life persona and you will be well on your way to becoming a new person in real life.
  • You could visualize talking to people in real life the way you do online. I think it probably has to do with relaxation. The more relaxed a person is, the more of themself they show outwardly. If you can connect the same kinds of feelings from online towards real life, you can probably make it happen.
  • I personally think that you only have one personality, the "internet" one. You just have a hard time showing it when your in public. Maybe that's not the case, but it's common, and it's how I feel anyway.. are you shy, by any chance? Because being judged on the internet is a totally different thing then being judged in person.
  • Always be yourself--Don't change 4 anyone---or anything!
  • Practice what you preach.
  • I talk on here like I do in "real life", I don't consider AB a "fake life", I talk to some people on here nightly, I just don't get to see faces, like I have said before, just because I get to see some peoples faces doesn't make them any more "real" than the people I talk to online ;)
  • Never talk to, comment to or answer anyone until you know EXACTLY how you want to word it. Take as much time as you need you cant cut and paste or delete what you say.
  • My internet personality is my real life personality.
  • Pretend you are going to type a response to someone before you are talk to them. Like, "How would I answer this if I was online?". Just don't start saying crap like "Laugh out loud! Ahahah".
  • just write things exactly the way you speak things...lol
  • You got work on things
  • In real life, "Fake it until you make it".
  • Gain popularity on social media.
