  • Define "major". Personally, I think it's fairly minor but your opinion may differ.
  • i would say anyone with some common mechanical knowledge could do this. it is not a very hard job, basically you buy a complete coversion kit, ensure it is complete, meaning is comes with all new mounting hard wear, mounts and brake line screws. some companies sell cheaper versions without all the parts needed. remove all of your drum brake components, including backing plates, you do not have to take off the wheel hubs. install the new caliper mount and a few other items and your done with that part, then bleed the system. that is about it.
