  • If you have a PCI video card, and the board has a PCI slot free then yes, you should be able to. If I were you I'd try putting your video card on a PCI slot, (I assume there is no video card on the AGP slot), and switch the machine on to see if it works. If it does, there you go. However, if it doesn't you may need to enter the BIOS setup program to disable the AGP port first. **WARNING - CHANGING SETTINGS IN THE BIOS CAN PREVENT THE PC FROM BOOTING UP AT ALL. DON'T DO IT IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING.** Most PCs allow you to get to the BIOS settings by hitting F1 or DEL or something while it's doing the memory check when it's first switched on. Every BIOS is different but if you look through the options available you may find a 'disable AGP slot' option. If you're not sure, don't change anything! Of course, you could get a new video-card - you can get a basic AGP video-card for next to nothing these days, much cheaper than a decent motherboard!
  • Hi, Not really. The only card you can use for PCI on an AGP board are the older ones, which used to serve as addons for existing AGP cards (remember Voodoo?). Anyways, you could always use a PCI 1x graphic card (which were used at the time when P1 and P2 were kings ;)), but not more than that. Basically, every graphic card nowadays uses the PCI-E slot, which is either 8x or 16x, so normal PCI-E bus slots wont work. As the guy before me said, AGP cards are pretty cheap nowadays.
