  • It's fine! Heck I drink a glass of wine every night as I am making dinner - drowns out the noise of the kids yelling at one another! Seriously, one glass a night is not going to do you any harm, in fact numerous studies have shown that alcohol in moderation has health benefits
  • It's fine. I don't see why you feel the need for a "go ahead" tho. You, better than anyone, should know if it's right for YOU or not.
  • The Bible says "A glass of wine for thy stomach's sake."
  • I enjoyed the most delicious Watermelon Martini that my hubby bartender made me. It was accompanied by spinach eggplant rollatine and a nice mixed salad and some bread.
  • There's nothing wrong with that. Occasionally, after a particularly stressful day I will have a drink.
  • I do when it's been a hard day or are feeling down. Around my house miraculously a case of beer will last months although a bottle of wine, once opened, will not last the night. :) I think the key is that you do not feel like you 'have to' have a drink at the end of the day. Nothing wrong with looking forward to Happy Hour, though!
  • Its ok i guess i don't drink but for some people its relaxing.
  • It's fine....go enjoy one. There is nothing wrong with having a drink to make yourself feel better or to relax a little bit. I don't drink much at all, but it would probably help me if I did.
  • Why wouldn't it be? The Bible doesn't even condemn drinking, only being drunk. I do it myself from time to time, though we rarely keep alcohol in the house.
  • I don't think there's anything wrong with drinking in itself. As long as it doesn't get to the point to where you feel you "need" to have a drink. If you get extremely irritable because you don't have something to drink, then you probably should consider giving it up. But if you're o.k. with the idea of not drinking, then it's o.k. so long as you're not drinking excessively everyday. I drink about a half pint to a pint of liquor a day, but I try to drink slowly as to not become drunk (which can be easy to do)... But I feel o.k. if I don't have a drink.
  • Here-here... cheers!
  • I had a hard day at work as well as I got a great news, i got a place in a New York Marathon.i could not resist but have a drink on my own at home! No friend available to celebrate right now, so I had to do it on my own. it s nothing wrong with it as long as you know when to stop! ( I dont know. can anyone tell me? ;o))
    • Majik-1
      Stop BEFORE the first swallow!!!
  • I'm doing it now...
  • I do it about three times a week. Nothing wrong with it at all.
  • those that have one or two to relax are called 'normies' by us alchoholics - i cant have just one - i have an allergic reaction and break out in stupid
  • I have yet to find much in this world more refreshing after a hard day's work than a ice cold beer (preferably Stella Artois). But as a good friend of mine once send everything in moderation.....including moderation!
  • I have a drink about once a week, If I skip a week I'll have two the next time, cheers Ender!
  • OF COURSE IT IS, I DO IT JUST ABOUT EVERY WEEK. SOMETIMES YOU NEED A LIL SIP TO WIND DOWN FROM A STRESSFUL DAY.
  • I do it...sometimes a glass of wine, or heck maybe a tequila mixed drink...or a beer. I dont do it everyday, just when Im in the mood.... ;)

  • What you're describing is the first step into becoming an alcoholic!!! An alcoholic is a person who "needs" a drink. IF you "need" a drink to unwind, that's an alcoholic!!! Find a BETTER way!!! Meditate, stream a movie, listen to some relaxing music, etc. I find Blues &/or Jazz to be very relaxing when stressed!!!
  • Yes it is. As long as you don't have a court order against it. enjoy. 2/26/23
