4/7/2025, Trump has lost his mind. But then again, that's if he ever had one. ๐

Negotiation tactics to improve trade deficits, real or perceived. He did it last time too, and our economy was in pretty good shape. IMHO 3/8/25

The man is a nut job. He has initiated a trade war regarding the tariffs on other countries not thinking about how he is affecting the world. He is totally insane and a psychopath. Anyone who does not see that about him are blinded by the corruption he is causing and a possible recession for some countries . Iโm aware of certain users on here who agree with me who are American and might be silent towards my comment which is understandable.

He's making the rich more wealthy, and the poor, (in hiking up pricing, to cover the tariffs), poorer.

As of today (Thursday April 10), Trump has repealed all tariffs except for those on China. * Why? Because Japanese banks started selling off US debt to other nations. * For someone as old as I, even casually interested in politics, it's no surprise. It's not the first time (by a long shot) that banks have shown that they have the power to change policy, or even oust a legally-elected politician. And I mean: in the US in the last 50 years such things have happened. * So: on the one hand we have the leader of the most powerful nation in the World - most powerful militarily and economically...and his "program" is swiftly and quietly defeated by foreign bankers. * There's nothing Trump can do about it. His power over the US simply isn't as great as is the power of Japanese banks over the US, and they have proved it without a threat, without a weapon, without fielding an army, without even a cross word. * And make no mistake: US banks have even more power over the US than do the Japanese banks. It's simply a matter of them coming to an agreement that opposes whatever policy or policies that existing government officials are enacting that the banks don't like, and suddenly the politicians are stopped dead in their tracks. * Want to improve the power and defensive capability of the US drastically? Get the government out of debt. At least then the government can function without banks (foreign and domestic) being able to strong-arm the government into doing their will..
