it seams the US and Nato will fight Russia until the very last Ukrainian there wont be a Ukraine the way things are going.

It will either elect a pro-Russia leader or keep fighting until Russia gets distracted by something else, or it will become a failed state. Russia has a lot more resources and can win a war of attrition against Ukraine, but both are very large and resourceful, so it won't be easy for either side. As a matter of economic number crunching, it is very unlikely for Ukraine to flat out defeat Russia, but the war is causing Russia a lot of pain, and they don't really have that much to gain, so, maybe, at some point, Putin, or whatever leader, will decide it is not worth the cost and leave, or else Russia might get into a conflict with another country and not be able to balance multiple conflicts. Since Putin has been quite firm, who knows?
