Lower the thermostat when you go to bed.

Our apartment is all electric. I've lived here for 35 years. I don't really do much to keep the bill low. My monthly bill has never hit $200 in the winter months and that's for heat, hot water, lights, cooking, everything. I think that these apartments are well insulated. You never hear the neighbors unless they're making noise in the hall.

I have radiators, I keep the cost down by turning the radiator down a degree or two and adding another layer of clothes.
