No one is forcing you to put them in your mouth. Tell your doctor you're not going to take them and for them to give you something else. I've quit several medications when I felt like they didn't work for me. On the other hand even chap stick and antacids are 'habit forming'! So is caffeine and alcohol and cigarettes. And on the healthier side so is exercise and brushing your teeth. YOU decide what works for you and what doesn't.
