  • No, but my neighbours and I have a challenge on at the moment to see who can strip and make their beds the fastest. Time to beat 6 minutes and 40 seconds.

This is a chore where synergy comes into play. It goes much faster if you double team a bed! When I was in the Navy I cracked a case of eggs, one at a time into a container throwing away the shells in less than 8 minutes. 360 eggs in a case.

Linda, that's impressive, but did you crack them between your thighs? Now that's even more impressive.

I found this Linda, which I will do https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mbHeddAnrZs
  • Loved the video. When I was in basic training they used to have an old converted washing machine with roofing shingles lining the drum. Throwing a bag of potatoes in there and switching it on automatically peeled the potatoes. It took a little longer than in the video, but it was just as effective.
  • The (obvious) problem with that method is that you waste most of the potato.

I agree! I eat the peel. But if I"m preparing a lot for others like a pot luck or family reunion, I'd peel them.

The peel has additional nutritional value. I never peel potatoes.

I apologize for being unclear. In the video, look at the potatoes before "peeling". Then look at the finished product, the "peeled" potatoes. I'd guess at least half of the potato is missing with this power-tool method. It didn't just PEEL the potatoes. It consumed a considerable portion of each potato.
  • Why bother peeling them, it wastes the best bit!
