  • Not sure what you are really indicating. Christians believe that Jesus suffered as a sacrifice for everyone's sins, much in the same way traditional Judaism believed that an animal sacrificed to God could atone for some transgressions. Christ being the physical embodiment of perfection and having God-powers, was the most perfect sacrifice, and therefore, was able to be sacrificed to atone for the sins of the entire universe. Obviously, from a modern secular viewpoint, none of that makes a lick of sense.
    • Cry me a River
Most perfect? God in the flesh was more than that
  • thats up to god
  • When you speak of sin, Lucifer and his fallen angels tried to corrupt Heaven when they were cast out by God. (Ezekiel 28:15), (2 Peter 2:4) Justice and righteousness is all about a righteous Judge who judges accordingly. 2 Corinthians 5:10 "For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil."
  • Jesus. Which is why He will be our advocate before The Father on the day of Judgement.
  • The scriptures show there will be many who don’t repent ,just as Satan influenced many of the angels to follow him so there will be many humans who also will psalms 37 tells of the destruction of the wicked Verse 1 Do not be upset because of evil men or envious of wrongdoers 9 For evil men will be done away with,+ But those hoping in Jehovah will possess the earth.+ 10 Just a little while longer, and the wicked will be no more;+ You will look at where they were, And they will not be there.+ 11 But the meek will possess the earth,+ And they will find exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.+ Verse 29 . The righteous will possess the earth and they will live on it forever .jesus said in John 17:3 3 This means everlasting life,+ their coming to know you, the only true God,+ and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ. God’s purpose is to bring the earth back to his original paradise peaceful conditions and to have mankind live forever a beautiful future by means that will be accomplished through god’s kingdom .
  • Repent means to turn away from, but there is more than just repentance, Jesus said follow me, this means we also have to be die to our flesh self, and be born of spirit, the Holy Spirit who is the councillor who dwells in us, we are to become a temple of God, hence if someone truly does this then they are a new person the old has passed away, they would be free from the bondage of sin and death which Christ nailed to the cross, and God cannot be fooled he knows the heart. John 3:3-8 Jesus replied, “Truly, truly, I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.“How can a man be born when he is old?” Nicodemus asked. “Can he enter his mother’s womb a second time to be born?” Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. Flesh is born of flesh, but spirit is born of the Spirit. Do not be amazed that I said, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows where it wishes. You hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.” Romans 5:17-19 For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive an abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ! So then, just as one trespass brought condemnation for all men, so also one act of righteousness brought justification and life for all men. 1For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous. 1 Corinthians 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. 1 cor 15:47 The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven. 1 Cor 15:42- 49 So will it be with the resurrection of the dead: What is sown is perishable; it is raised imperishable. It is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness; it is raised in power. It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body. So it is written: “The first man Adam became a living being;” the last Adam a life-giving spirit. The spiritual, however, was not first, but the natural, and then the spiritual. The first man was of the dust of the earth, the second man from heaven. As was the earthly man, so also are those who are of the earth; and as is the heavenly man, so also are those who are of heaven. And just as we have borne the likeness of the earthly man, so also shall we bear the likeness of the heavenly man. Now I declare to you, brothers, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed— in an instant, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. For the perishable must be clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality. When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come to pass: “Death has been swallowed up in victory Luke 17:21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. Of course the bible also talks about those who don't want you to believe any of this, they want you to believe you are merely of the earth and that's it, they know there is a gift, but they don't want it for themselves, and the certainly don't want it for anyone else. Jude 1:4 For certain men have crept in unnoticed, who long ago were marked out for this condemnation, ungodly men, who turn the grace of our God into lewdness and deny the only Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ. Titus 1:16 They profess to know God, but they deny Him by their actions. They are detestable, disobedient, and unfit for any good deed. 1 Peter 2:8 and, "A stone of stumbling and a rock of offense." They stumble because they disobey the word--and to this they were appointed. 2 Peter 2:1 Now there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them--bringing swift destruction on themselves. 2 Peter 2:2 Many will follow in their depravity, and because of them the way of truth will be defamed. Jude 1:18 when they said to you, "In the last times there will be scoffers who will follow after their own ungodly desires."
  • Pretty simple, the penalty for sin is death. (Romans 6:23) For the wages sin pays is death, but the gift God gives is everlasting life by Christ Jesus our Lord.
  • I'm asking this question because my interest is only the (religion) category. Have been on Answerbag for a week and each day all I see are the same questions and answers everyday. Is that it? If not how do you find new questions to answer? Would appreciate any help.
  • The Bible says that some will be raised to a resurrection of life but others will be raised to a resurrection of judgment when you go to see the judge and you have a bunch of complaints against you that you have caused financial and mental damage to people the judge says to you all right you owe x amount of money. And you say but your honor I don't have all that money. Your honor says I understand you don't have all that money but here's the deal I have a work camp over there you'll be giving good food to eat you'll be giving a bed to sleep in and you'll be given your clothes. You will work on my farm 8 hours a day and then you'll go home and you will live like that until you have paid back all those people that you owe money you will serve me and I will take your salary and distribute it to them until you no longer owe them. There will still be people even in God's New order that feel that you owe them money and are not willing to forgive you and God will put that into your judgment that he will also judge those people by the matter that they judged you and those people will have to work on the farm too to pay back other people that they have wronged.
