Well...yes, of course, since almost all "common" English words have appeared in songs at one time or another. In fact: except for the type of stories that use invented words and names (and sometimes even languages), you'd be hard-pressed to find an English novel or short story in print that uses words NOT found in song lyrics. *** For example: you'd have trouble with Dr Seuss since his stories include so many words that he invented himself, but you'd probably not find a single word in Dickens or Poe (again: other than oddball names) that doesn't appear in many songs.
