What were your Grandfathers like, when you were a child ?

My maternal grandfather was the only one active in my life and just passed away yesterday though was lost to us several years before due to Alzheimer's. He was silly and energetic. My fondest memory of him was sitting on his lap looking through this book he had which was essentially an encyclopedia of all species of birds. It was kind of a routine whenever I'd visit him.

Sadly, I never got a chance to meet/know my grandfathers. However, since I believe in the Bible's hope for a resurrection of the righteous and unrighteous (Acts 24:15) I look forward to meeting them in the future paradise here on earth.
