  • Not then and not now.

So what's on your phone ?
    • Linda Joy
I have no idea. But the phone was given to me by a friend.
    • mushroom
Given that Windows phone market share had dropped to one-tenth of one percent of the market, it's unlikely you have it on the phone your friend gave to you. Or maybe it is likely.
  • I have the free upgrade. But if I get another computer I will get a Windows 10. Not one they have on sale that is a Windows 8.
    • mushroom
BTW, it is still possible to upgrade Windows 7/8 to 10 for free until 12/31/2017. Look for Windows 10 upgrade for assistive technologies. You only have to agree that you use some feature (such as the screen magnifier), but no proof is required.
    • Rick Myres
I only want a new computer with Windows 10 in it because they are already out and have been almost all year.
    • mushroom
Believe it or not, Dell is still offering Windows 7 machines. (12/2017)
    • Rick Myres
Mine is an Acer desktop. Lol :)
  • Yes and have done for my contract clients.
  • Not a penny. It sucks and the AI makes too many assumptions. And forget those stupid tiles.

That's a BIG 10-4, Good buddy !! It's a big bloated spy pig. They're going to have to return some control back to the user, instead of thinking we NEED Microsoft to think for us. Their pushing it on me, with out asking my permission ... cost me a hard drive. For those who like it ... Enjoy. With my repairs complete, I insisted on going back to 7, and that's where I'll stay until they come up with a better system. I could never figure out why they had to kill XP. It was the best system they had ever created.
  • Nope.I hate spyware and not being able to control what I own. If my Windows XP ever fails to get online,I'll find another hobby.
    • Ice man
I admire you for being able to still use XP. If I still had the choice I'd still be using it too. I'm holding out at 7, seems to be the next best thing.
  • Guess who is now using Windows 10!? Lol I still didn't buy it. It was given to me. And I'm VERY THANKFUL to have it!
    • Ice man
Well at least you didn't pay for it ...yet. : ) It's a bloated spy pig for Microsnot.
    • Linda Joy
Well at least it has a keyboard! And a screen bigger than a driver's license!
    • Ice man
Silly girl, Windows 10 is the operating system ... not the computer itself. But, I'm glad to see that someone was kind enough to give you a real computer. Laptop or Desktop ?? Laptops come with a keypad and screen built in, so I assume it's a desktop because you mentioned a "keyboard".
    • Rick Myres
I have seen too many on TV and online about the detachable keyboard. I don't like those. I would rather have a laptop like I first had with the keyboard attached to it. But that was many years ago. Lol
  • not , not when i can get similar stuff for free
  • I did, but now I'm regretting it. After you pay for, you still get ads and aggressive updates? Those should be on the free/upgrade version, but not if you've paid good money.
    • Ice man
      Agreed and I'm glad I don't I don't have to use it..
  • yes... I am using licensed version of Windows10
  • Yes the motherboard went bad in mine and the man forgot to use the validation key and a new disk would have been $150 and he felt bad and sold me a disk for $100 instead at the same cost it would have been for me to get a key from Microcrook (Microsoft). I'll take my computer back to them next time I have a problem because they are good and honest.
  • Always have and always recommend the businesses I deal with do too,
  • no and thats why i dont have it
  • As a Windows Insider I could reinstall it, but I'm not. I'm sticking with Windows 7 until it doesn't work anymore. 10 has always been buggy as fuck and full of spyware.
    • Rick Myres
I don't have any spyware or bugs on mine (Windows 10) because I have the security suite from Charter/Spectrum. I've had it for at least 3 years now ever since I got rid of ATT.
    • Wakko
I tether my phone to my PC for internet using PdaNet. $45/mth for phone and high speed internet isn't too bad I don't think. I got rid of AT&T about 10 years ago.
    • Rick Myres
It would sure be great Wakko if I'd be able to give you a thumbs up for your answer.
    • Wakko
      It's all good, Rick.
