  • Please correct me if I'm wrong, but if you're already living in it you must already be renting it unless you own it, in which case you wouldn't need to rent it. Unless this is some tax saving scheme. If it is will you please let me know about it.
  • you can buy a house purely to rent out for income straight away, you don't need to live in it for a fixed amount of time first.
  • are you talking about the first home owner's grant? i'm pretty sure that you have to live in your newly purchased house six months before you can rent it out to someone else - such are the conditions of the first home owner's grant...... That was what is was it was when i got it two years ago anyway.....
