  • Yes this is possible depending on your cell phone brand. There is particalar software that allow you to convert your songs to polyphonic ringtones. I know for a fact that this software is available for Nokia and Samsung (downloadable from the offical websites or your p2p networks). They are called mobile suites. These allow you to import a song and tranform it into a ringtone. They also allow you to import pictures and manipulate them etc. and send them to your cell phone. Once you have chosen a ringtone, picture or game that you want to put onto your cell phone, you can do this via the infrared ports (on laptops) or using the cable to connect your phone to your PC. All data is instantly transfered to your cell phone, and the best thing it, it's free! I hope this helps and you can find the required software.
  • INSTRUCTIONS FOR MOTOROLA WITH TRANS DISK INSTALLED/XP operating system Yes, Audicity. Download it from internet. Then download the converter it asks to download. Google it and add suffix MP3 Converter or something like that. Finally, open the song file (WAV or MP3 file) and use the Open With option and open with the program you downloaded: Audicity. Then, delete the parts of the song you don't want in the ringtone or simply highlight the part you do. If you highlight you can save selected to MP3. Or Save As MP3. Connect Phone. Open as Folder. Transfer MP3 file to TRANS disk and unplug from computer. Then, open Sounds and transfer your new ringtone from your TRANS disk to the phone itself.
