  • When you have a non-platonic relationship with someone, and you have a non-platonic relationship with someone else at the same time.
  • To use a cryptic analogy - When its not her shopping trolley you dump your meat in...
  • When you have commited yourself to somebody and start messing around with some one else at the same time!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Duh!
  • When you pick up the Roulette ball and place it on the number 8 slot.
  • People voew it differently. I think it is when you act upon lusful feelings. My girlfriend says it is when you connect emotionally with someone who you shouldn't or when you act physically with someone. Hell. She really just think s flirting with someone else is cheating. I try to respect her views... sometimes I fall short because I like to converse with the ladies.
  • when yer f**king around!
  • Screwing your mistress in your wife's bed.
  • What a good question! My views on this subject are always contested. For me, cheating is about deception. If you take performance enhancing drugs to try to win a race, that is cheating. If you play poker and hide cards up your sleeve, that is cheating. If you take answers into an exam, that is cheating. What is not cheating? David Beckham deliberately fouling someone to get his second yellow card thus missing an unimportant last group game but being available for the knock out round. Playing Wii bowling and deliberately letting go of the ball late when going for a spare to avoid spin and maximise your chances of hitting the pin. Getting surround sound for your Xbox so that you can hear other players creeping up behind you.
  • Hey, this probably sounds like a stupid question but I'd like some advice. I am 21 and I have been with my bf (also 21) for six months and when we first started dating he was getting out of a very painful 9 month "relationship" (the girl never allowed it to be exclusive). He told me three months into our relationship that the first week we started dating he went to see this girl to resolve his feelings and move on and they ended up kissing. However, he didn't feel anything and after being sure he was ready to move on he asked me to be his girlfriend. He didn't THINK this was cheating but he questioned it and felt bad and then I in turn ended up feeling very hurt and like I had been cheated on. Was I? I really want to get over this!
  • When you get caught ..
  • The moment of the crime!
  • Cheating is deception period. there should be no intimacy with someone else... whether it be physical or emotional.... If you are in a relationship and sharing yourself either way it is cheating. And it is not fair to put a significant other in sucha hurtful position intentionally! Yes intentionally... you don't cheat or deceive someone by accident.
  • When you stick your tongue on somebody else's throat (not your wife's or gf's) and when you put your "hoo hoo dilly" in somebody else's "cha cha" (not your wife's or gf's cha cha). lol. And yea, vise versa.
  • Some people would basically say 'when you sleep with someone else' or kiss them, whatever. But remember there are couples out there who have open relationships, sleeping with other people. I don't consider it cheating in that case because you have your partner's consent to do so. And then some people also say the test of cheating is 'Would you do it if she/he were standing right there?' that's a little misleading too because as we all know, there are some partner's who are incredibly possessive and try to keep the other on a very short leash; meaning if they simply 'look' at another member of the opposite sex, they flip and say it's cheating. Looking/flirting is not cheating obviously. In my view cheating is to be categorized by 'doing something that my partner doesn't want me to do' and that varies from couple to couple. Some couples would consider kissing cheating, others may not. My guy occasionally sleeps with other women and I occasionally sleep with other women as well. Is it cheating? No because we are both fine with what they other is doing and have consent. PS: I do realize I kinda contradicted myself with the partner consent thing and unreasonable people who claim flirting is cheating, because in their case they don't want their partner doing that, but cmon lol, there's a line between reasonable and unreasonable.
  • all cheating rules should be set by each couple when entering the relationship. In my relationship an emotional affair would be cheating in others having sex with other people is totally cool.
  • Quite simply, when you do something that you wouldn't do if your s/o were standing right there.
  • To me when you see your boyfriend/girlfriend kissing holding hands or see them haveing sex with another person. stuff like that.
  • Intimacy with anyone OTHER than the person you're committed to in a relationship.
  • Define IT....makes a big difference to any opinion you may have. Bottom line is if you think IT is cheating , then IT is. Your conscience is your guide. I know it sounds corny and I'm not Jimmeney Cricket, but only you can know deep down inside
  • The moment the thought crosses your mind.
  • The most simplistic definition is anything you wouldn't do if your s/o were standing right next to you.
  • I'm going to go with...penetration! lol
  • Going against morals.
  • I think cheating is when.. You flirt, hug, kiss, or friendly touch someone else.. like stuff you wouldn't do if your s/o was standing right next to you watching everything you do.
  • you need to discuss cheating with your partner and understand what they believe to be cheating at the start of your relationship. obviously you cant just randomly ask them this, say something like have you ever cheated.... do u hate cheats... then ask what they see as cheating. personally i think that cheating is kissing or being intimate with anyone else other than your partner if they dont know. it is ok if they know about it and say its ok. i dont think flirting is cheating unless it goe any further. flirting can be part of everyday life and how people communicate with the opposite sex through body language and flirty eye contact. cyber sex and sending dirty pictures to people is cheating. flirty texts and sex texts are cheating. simple body language and eye contact is not really cheating but it may make ur partner feel jealous and uncomfortable if you do this infront of them.
  • when the nipple makes it's first appearance.
  • When you act on it. It's ok to look but don't touch.
  • When you don't want your s/o to find out
  • When you know inside, that what your doing is wrong.
  • When you have to ask
  • Anything you wouldn't do if your significant other was standing right next to you.
  • Sleeping with them. I have to admit that I did that with my close friend, and that didn't look good with my ex boyfriend. The clubs every weekend didn't help either since I was partly there because of the attention I received at the clubs. Oh well, I'm still young so why worry about anyone else besides myself.
  • When you act on the Monopoly money. It's ok to think about it.
  • Being with your date & having relationships with another!
  • anything intimate
  • Well that all depends. There are, by definition, two types of cheating: physical (kind of obvious what that consists of) and emotional. Its obvious that almost anything past a hug could be considered physical cheating, but emotional cheating is a lot harder to call someone out on. Emotional cheating is basically giving a lot of attention to somebody else, and having feelings for them. In the end its all perception, that and getting caught.
  • Anything that you don't want her to find out about.
  • If you have to ask ..... ?? .. you are probably feeling guilty bc you CHEATED !!!
  • Telling someone about your fantasies with another woman could be considered cheating... in the very least hurtful way.
  • Whatever you consider "cheating"...as "cheating" is a social construct, not a fixed truth: http://archive.salon.com/sex/feature/2001/01/23/monogamy/index.html
  • I guess it all depends on the girl. I would say anything hurtful to her that you do with another female sexually. But if you really have to ask you must have guilt gut. I always tell my bf that if he didn't want me to do that with someone else then he shouldn't do it.
  • Cheating is when you do disrespectful things with other women behind your girlfriends back. Even if it is chatting online about sex or talking on the phone with another girl about sexual acts or emotional closeness, it is considered cheating.
  • LOVING MORE THAN ONE WHEN YOUR GOING STEADY TO ONE.
  • Anything that you CANNOT do in front of her. Be it grabbing body parts, kissing, licking, sticking and holding hands. Even though, many people will not consider those things cheating....but see if they will do those things in front of their s/o....I don't think they will.
  • If you wouldn't do that to your sister, you're cheating
  • I think cheating on a girl is when you are dealing with another female that your girlfriend is not aware of. Even if you're just platonic friends a girlfriend would still consider that cheating.
  • Basically its anything you wouldnt do if she was standing behind you
  • Anyhing you are hiding from your wife / Girlfriend.
  • when you are officially together and sleep with someone else and have to lie about it.
  • if it is something you wouldn't want done to you, it's cheating. if it's something you significant other doesn't want done to them, and it is reasonable to feel that way, but you do it anyway, it's cheating.
  • I'm not sure, but I'll bet that Bill Clinton could give you a good answer.
  • when you start to seriously question if it's considered cheating.
  • You lay the laws down with your boyfriend or girlfriend sit down and talk and make sure you both know the rules you can make any rules you 2 want.
  • That varies widely from person to person. I think any physical, sexual activity with others is cheating except if previosly agreed upon (don't get me wrong here, I'm pretty selfish with my s/o). It's the other stuff that gets complicated. Some of us are OK with our partner flirting, others are not. That sort of thing will depend on the relationship. I'm OK with a little flirting. But I think that if you've seen something you want you should be putting and end to a current relationship before moving on.
  • Cheating is when your s/o gets their focus off of you and the thoughts become of someone else and not just of sex but the whole scenario and after thinking of it they act on it and then they start to talk to that person and start seeing that person and then when they lie to you and say they are going to be late at work or going to their friends or to wherever and they are actually seeing someone else, then that is definitely 'cheating' because they are first lying to you, and not for any good reason but to please their themselves not with any regard for you or your feelings and I do NOT know how any one can do that to a person but it has been done to me with my ex and no matter how much you try there is no way that they can ever fix the damage done by their actions and it stays with you for a very long time
  • when you keep an ace up your sleeve.
  • When someone alleges you of doing bad practices.
  • playing cards against me
  • 1) Cheating is generally defined from the point of view of the person being cheated on: It is considered cheating when the person being cheated on would considered it to be cheating, in the case where they would become aware. If you don't agree with this definition, you have to discuss this with your partner. 2) "'Cheating' is an act of lying, deception, fraud, trickery, imposture, or imposition. Cheating characteristically is employed to create an unfair advantage, usually in one's own interest, and often at the expense of others. Cheating implies the breaking of rules. The term "cheating" is less applicable to the breaking of laws, as illegal activities are referred to by specific legal terminology such as fraud or corruption. Cheating is a primordial economic act: getting more for less, often used when referring to marital infidelity. A person who is guilty of cheating is generally referred to as a cheat (Br. English), or a cheater (Am. English)." "With regard to human relationships, couples tend to expect sexual monogamy of each other. If so, then cheating commonly refers to forms of infidelity, particularly adultery. However, there are other divisions of infidelity, which may be emotional. Cheating by thinking of, touching and talking with someone you are attracted to may be equally damaging to one of the parties. Emotional cheating may be correlated to that of emotional abuse, which to date is treated as seriously in a court of law as physical cheating. With the expansion of understanding of other cultures, there is a wide spectrum of what cheating means. When in a committed relationship, the definition of cheating is based on both parties opinions and both parties may redefine their understanding to match the party at an either lower or higher extreme of this definition. Some couples simply believe that cheating constitutes doing anything, whether verbal or physical, that one would not do in front of their significant other. Such examples would include: expressing attraction to another person, electronic communications, kissing, making out, and sexual relations. Many people consider cheating to be any violation of the mutually agreed-upon rules or boundaries of a relationship, which may or may not include sexual monogamy. For example, in some polyamorous relationships, the concepts of commitment and fidelity do not necessarily hinge on complete sexual or emotional monogamy. Whether polyamorous or monogamous, the boundaries to which people agree vary widely, and sometimes these boundaries evolve within each relationship." • cheating is an act of deception weather its mental or physical
  • I have a question of my own. Is it considered cheating if someone other than your significant other kisses you, but you don't stop them? I'm finding myself in this situation and although I didn't initiate the kiss, I feel incredibly guilty.
  • it is cheating when you are in a relationship where both parties agree to be one-on-one in your relationshp, and you do things behind each others back that would harm that one-on-one that you have together.
  • When a partner does something sexual with another person that their significant other does not approve of.
  • Look at it this way. Its considered cheating when you wouldn't want your S/O doing what you're about to do.
  • I believe it is when your romantic focus switches to one other than your s/o
