  • Yes if there is one...

And, that's the point. There is no heaven.
    • the Otter
      ?
  • Why would they want to?
  • Yes, according to my religion.
  • well no. it doesn't exist. & if it did, well then we'd be shit out of luck wouldn't we?
  • no we go to are own special place called death just like everyone
  • My faith teaches that IF you have lived the best life that you CAN ... being the best YOU that YOU can possibly be ; then YOU will also go to the next higher plane as you make your way to the final plane ; known as Heaven .. and sit with others beside our Brother, Jesus the Christ, at the right hand of Father God ... +5
  • According to the Christian faith, he/she can if they are prayed for by a loved ones. Only they would have to hope that the loved one not only believes and accepts Christ but is a good person as well.
  • Why would an atheist want to go to a place that supposedly doesn't exist? If it does exist, then that means they were foolish and obstinate in life, not listening to the council of the world's religious peoples, and that's not a good way to get to heaven. If it doesn't exist, then they're not going anyway!
  • According to the Christian faith, entrance to heaven is not even based on good works. It would be illogical to reason that being a "good" atheist or even a good theist, one could enter heaven. It would be like saying one could enter a cricket team by being a good cook. Needless to say, if access to heaven was based on works, none of us would be getting there. In some way we have all already messed up- and we can't work our way back up from there. We're already sinful, so we need someone to take that sin away. Christians believe that through Jesus' death and ressurrection he has atoned for our sin. God wants us in heaven, but we cant just get there. If we could, why would we be on Earth? Thus, one has to accept the sacrifice God has made in order to be redeemed and be able to come into his presence. God has made it that easy for us, all we have to do is have faith (not that he exists, that was considered obvious but that he has saved us). The good works that follow are a sign that someone has been redeemed, but they do not affect the salvation of the person. Eph 2:8-9 "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast." I hope this helped :)

Let me get this straight, this invisible omnipotence, who sucks at making humans because billions are irreparably defective, and he's not even compassionate AT ALL, he's callous and horrendously CRUEL on a monumentally gruesomely large scale, because instead of blotting all those mistakes out, he intends to torture them in agony for time unending, burning in "a lake of fire", with moaning and gnashing of teeth UNENDINGLY...THAT GOD! That's who we're talking about? And you're saying, he snuffed his kid....so we should thank him for doing that? *thinks* How come when guys are going to the electric chair for snuffing THEIR kids, we dont thank them then? Just sayin. Your religion SUCKS. Its stupid. Its like listening to people talk about Santa and his elves as if its ALL real. And you make excuses even when its horribly awful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! .......But you know what's worst about Christianity? That the brainwashed 'followers' hear truth and just PARROT "Oh that's the devil talking", so they dont ever ever EVER have to consider they might be wrong. Painfully stupidly WRONG. ....It's like dealing with a child holding his hands over his ears going "I cant hear you!" "I cant hear you!" POINTLESS! I waste my time here
  • If he's atheist,he'd probably don't needed in heaven...
    • Mr PantsFellDown
Yea, that's right. Fuck him. Burn him. HA HA HA!
  • No they cant because they never repented from their sins and never accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior which is the ONLY way to Heaven. It is NOT based on works, it is based on Faith. The Bible states " All our righteousnesses are as filthy rags."
  • Not according to the church. If they did then the church would lose a lot of its influence over peoples lives I think.
  • no. neither can a good christian .. it does not exist . and IF it did .. would this get you there ? http://www.evilbible.com/Murder.htm
  • Not according to the Bible. No-one gets in through good behaviour/deeds, even Christians. Because EVERYONE is a sinner (the Pope, Mother Teresa, general good people etc.) nobody deserves to get in. Sin separates us from God so according to this, not even amazingly lovely people get to Heaven. But then... Jesus died for us, removing this sin, giving us a life that is clean and holy, and if we choose to accept this life, we get to Heaven. Even if previously you lived a terrible life.
  • And why would you want to spend an eternity with a God you don't know?
  • even if an atheist doesn't believe that there is something waiting for him/her after death, his/her soul has to go somewhere,it can't just disappear and if he/she has been a good person he/she will go to "heaven"!
  • The question actually is improper, because heaven as generally conceived does not exist. The great problem atheists have upon arriving in the realms of spirit is that they are often totally confused, unable to comprehend what has happened to them. They may become so-called earthbound spirits unable to move on. Such is often the energy behind hauntings and poltergeist activity.
  • 'Resting in peace' is atheist heaven and since atheism is a good thing, we all go there.
  • I don't know but I'm fixin to find out. I'll leave the light on for ya.
  • No, because according to an atheist, it does not exist.
  • If Heaven exists then atheists, like everybody else, has an open invitation to enter. If God exists he has never sent anybody to Hell, so those who go there have elected to do so. Who these unfortunates are we cannot tell; it may well be that atheists get to Heaven first! On the other hand, if neither Heaven nor Hell exist then we shall never know it.
  • Why don't you drop dead and find out.
  • Sadly, he can not. The Bible says you must accept Jesus into your heart and have faith upon him for salvation.
  • heaven and hell is totally badly defined for their conveniences by organized religions. It is a state of mind we create by our bad karmas or actions. If an athiest gained knowledge and wisdom through his actions, he can go to heaven.
  • Depends which religions heaven you are meaning, from what I've discussed, not in the Christian heaven, but yes in the Muslim heaven.
  • Yeah, i would expect god would show himself to them and then they can believe once they are dead. God gives second chances.
  • No, but as the place is imaginary, nobody else can either.
  • if he can give up his Ego like when a drop of the ocean returns to the sea and becomes the ocean...then yes for in that oneness there is no atheism there is no religion
  • Nope. No more than a thief can steal for charity. Even if he gives away 100% of it. The fact remains a crime was committed for the act.
  • According to the Bible no, an atheist cannot go to heaven. But then why would they? They would find it very upsetting and would want to leave.
  • Who, looking through human eyes, can judge anyone accurately? What is "Good"? And what is "Heaven"?
  • For an atheist, heaven does not exist...the Bible is very clear on those who have a heavenly future... (Revelation 14:1) Then I saw, and look! the Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with him 144,000 who have his name and the name of his Father written on their foreheads. And it repeats itself... (Revelation 7:4) And I heard the number of those who were sealed, 144,000, sealed out of every tribe of the sons of Israel: A very specific number...as compared with the future of all other good people... (Revelation 7:9) After this I saw, and look! a great crowd, which no man was able to number, out of all nations and tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, dressed in white robes; and there were palm branches in their hands. They are from the whole world population and not just Israel... (Acts 10:35) but in every nation the man who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him. The " Israel" of the Bible has been expanded to the whole world...In those early times, Jehovah was dealing ONLY with the Jews of Israel...but now his knowledge teaches the whole world.
  • Nope. No more than a thief can steal for charity. Even if he gives away 100% of it. The fact remains a crime was committed for the act.
  • That is the same as saying one is good enough to go to Heaven. The Bible is clear that one must have faith. Our best is as filthy rags.
  • Absolutely not. Many of those who died in the Flood no doubt considered themselves nice people, not being involved in the violence that filled society in those days. But just being nice did not save them. By their apathy they condoned the evil of their day.
  • No. Atheists generally don't believe in heaven.
  • There is no such thing as a good atheist...or a good person We are all sinners fallen from the Glory of God and we need a savior
  • No, and they can't go to Oz or Narnia either.
  • It depends on each individual religion. According to the Christian religion, no. Some other religions, maybe.
  • In Christianity, there is no such thing as a "good person" with the exception of Jesus (and, some say, also very young children). So: in Christianity the concept "good atheist"...or "good any human"...is an oxymoron (again: with the exceptions mentioned previously). In Christianity, a "good person" DESERVES eternal life in paradise (which teaching is relevant to Jesus, who was good, being sacrificed).
  • "Heaven" is a place created in the subconscious mind by religious nut jobs. A true atheist knows this and we do not associate with any religious bull$hit such as "god" and "heaven" which the religious nut job can't prove their point. Religious nut jobs are all meaningless words and no evidence to show in the stupid religious claims they initiate. There is no such thing as "heaven" and you can not prove there is such a thing because it's all a delusion.
  • The question is illogical. If a person were in Heaven, how could s/he still be an atheist?
