People can post anything, no matter how false and no matter how irresponsible and do it anonymously. The consequences can be substantial, as can be seen in the results of the various QAnon postings. Among other appalling results: a disturbed man in California decided his wife and children were carrying "reptilian" blood and that the children must be killed. He murdered his two-year-old son and infant daughter. He'd mentioned his interest in QAnon conspiracy theories to friends, but because everyone thought he was a perfectly sane guy, no one took him seriously. Now, 2 small children are dead, and a mother is devastated. QAnon has a great deal to answer for. It's no wonder Q has been lying low since January.
