G'day Anonymous, Thank you for your question. As far as I know, a second one has not been commissioned let alone made. Eragon has yet to make its money back and it received very poor reviews. Reviews by members of the public who saw it at IMDb, Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic were also poor. There is talk about The Eldest being made into a film but that was reliant on how the first one did. I have attached sources for your reference. I agree. The movie didnt do the book justice at all.I got all worked up about the movie but when i went to see it i was let down becuase it was so awful.It looked like they just picked random points in the book and made it into a movie.As for if there is a second Eragon movie I hope its not as bad as the first.

I'm not sure if there will be another movie (I hope so) because Eragon didn't make very much money. If there is it probably won't be for a while.

I am a father of a nine year old daughter and five year old son. They both love this movie and I can only hope they get to see number 2 and 3. As a father this is the type of movie I want my children to see. I think the theater sales were more in line with teenagers and young adults. However, I bet if you look at the DVD sales that #2 and #3 will do much better. This is due to the younger generation liking the first one so much. They are next in line to pick what movies due well at the box office. Therefore, I hope they make the rest of the movies as it would be a shame to end at one. Just one fathers thoughts and hopes that a great childrens movie will contiue and those who did not like it can stay with movies for adults.

I for one loved the movie.. I don't have the time to read as much as i should, and like to read even less... I personally feel this woas one of the best Dragon movies I've ever seen...I have no comparison to the book though...I do hope they come out with the other parts........J. Frank Wizzard

(I'm going to send this to the movie producers to see what kind of response they will give.)
