When I was younger, emotion. I think maturity gives you the ability to be reasonable, so now I work very hard to let reason control my behavior.

I act on a little of both it may start out with emotion but before it's over reason and emotion usually find a middle ground together to co-exist, and that's not always fun either,

Hmmm I think this is a great question!! I think emotion definitely plays a role but so does reason. And sometimes our reasoning is controlled by our emotion. I TRY to get the emotion out of the way before I actually ACT but I don't always succeed...

In work it's 'reason' - I can't afford to let my heart rule my head - I have to be objective. In my personal life it is totally the opposite (I spend my professional life solving the problems of others - not so good at doing that for me though :-)
