  • Minor diet changes like no milk might reduce the cause of the sinus issues (you know the stuff that builds up to cause the pressure). Usually sinus issues are seasonal, related to spring/summer or fall and can be correlated to certain allergens. If this is the case then you should see a doctor and get tested for allergies, find out what it is you are allergic to and have a specific anti-allergy medication for that allergen which you would use during your season of allergy. Sinus infections can be mild to severe, they can also be temporary or chronic (long term). OTC medication may not treat an infection, only the symptoms. Allergies can and do lead to sinus infections. So you should see a doctor to find out where you stand to seek out the proper treatment.
  • is it possible these are caffiene headaches? or rebound headaches (from taking medicine regularly)? just asking cuz that's interesting that you get them around the same time.
  • Try flushing with saline nasal spray in the afternoon and then again before bed time. Actually, you can use the saline spray anytime since they are not addictative and have no side effects. Also, try to drink more water. I also agree with Athrael about cutting down on milk intake especially during allergy season.
  • This is how I control them: Daily dose of allergy medince (I use Alegra and Flonase.) OTC Decongestant Stay well hydrated. Humdifier at night Steam a bowl of hot water (or just make a good cup of hot tea) and put my face over it and breathe the steam in. Hot shower at night before bed (as hot as I can stand it) Sleep with a lavendar and chamomile scented pillow eye mask. Sleep with a foam pillow - no feathers!
  • I know someone who cured this problem by diet- try cutting out wheat and you should find it improves hugely
  • very helpful, thanks!!!!
  • Try taking a Vitamin-B Complex at the onset of a headache and on a regular basis.. If you're a coffee-drinker, give it up as this may be one of the main reasons for your headaches.
