Studies show that humans prefer to listen to conversations with their right ear. Does this apply to you?, I prefer my left.

I actually tilt my left ear towards the TV when there is whispery dialog going on. It's entirely subconscious on my part, but family has pointed it out to me.

the study I read about today said people were more open to suggestion if the person spoke into their right ear.

I don't think you have understood the reports, if you have read the same ones as I did. they said that if you talk to a person's right ear, you are more likely to get listened to. The right ear is connected to the left, more rational, half of the brain, so you get a more logical audience. They also said that right handed people tended to hold the phone to their right ear - but I don't think they tested this.

I'm a righty, but i do use my left ear more often..also because i sometimes have to though, can't always hear good from my right. +++++ =)

I have to listen out of my left because my brother put a firecracker in my right. And that whole left brain=quantity, right=quality has been debunked several times. The brain is composed of hundreds of regions, with some on opposite sides of the brain calculating the same thing.

I prefer my right ear for conversations with some people,as I am deaf in that ear.

Its not something I have ever taken note of myself, but the reason for it, I would assume is because everything from the right side of the body is processed by the left hemisphere, which is dominant for verbal and analytical tasks.

My hearing is better on my left, which is why I prefer putting the telephone receiver and cell phone on my left ear to listen. I do everything better on my left side----I even photograph better on my left side. Lol.

either is good for me. i guess i like my right better, but ive gotten more used to my left because i have to answer the phone at work with my left hand so im still able to write... so my left ear gets plenty talked to. :)

Well I use both but its strange and never heard of the statement where people use a certain ear. Maybe that applies to when you get older with age. However if it helps, I am lefty by nature (you know left-handedness)

idk my only guess would be maby it has something to do with what side of your brain you primarily use.
