  • The city cousel is narrow minded and short sighted.
  • transport. the bus services are not good and trains to and from there are also haphazard. This is a safe area for the present ruling State party, so little money is alotted to it.
  • I am too well known due to my family name and would prefer to have alot more privacy.
  • Well I'm going to count LaPorte as my hometown. And the answer is "There are very few people between 20 and 35 who live here."
  • Its a small city with absolutely nothing to do!
  • It's over built and there is too much traffic. They use every little piece of land here to build something. Yet, we have empty buildings rotting away nearby that could be fixed up and used. If I offered part of my driveway, I'm sure they'd build something there too. LOL
  • Canoga Park, CA --- is in the middle of the San Fernando Valley. That means it's very hot in the summer (next-door Woodland Hills hit 121 F this past summer), it's smoggy and it has been completely paved over with tract homes, shopping centers and strip malls. Other than that, it's all right....;-D...
  • Drugs. Gangs. Bad schools. Sex offenders. You know, same-old-same-old.
  • GOSSIP
  • It's so damn small. Everyone knows everyone and if anyone knows anything about you, everyone does. And it seems like everything there is to do here, you can do in a very short amount of time. Even as far as places to eat. We only have like...2 chain restaurants and the rest are local places where everyone has been to a billion times. Tourists love it, and it's beautiful and I love it, but soon as I turn 18 I will be COMPLETELY ready to roll out.

To sum up: Everything on Long Island(especially Hewlett) is getting too expensive.

  • highest rape count in the world, most harsh crimes committed, and not enough money to fund the cops!
  • The winters are WAY too long.
  • not enough supermarkets.
  • The level of crime. It deters visitors which is a shame as it is a beautiful city with a lot of history to it.
  • My hometown has the most inept politicians. We have been fined over $100,000 every year for the past 12 years, at least, because the city council couldn't decide where to put a new sewer treatment plant. They have spent tens of thousands trying to un-do a decision by a former mayor to consolidate the sheriff's office and the city police. The consolidation was studied, agreed on, and funded; but after it was implemented, the "good old boys" who had their hands in the pockets of the city police found that the sheriff's pockets were not so easy to get into. This is the same sherif who was so popular that he was virtually unopposed in his last race. Now he is suddenly a pariah. It's embarrassing to sat the least. New Iberia's politics is something to see. If not for the back-stabbing, in-fighting of it's council members it would be an almost ideal place to live.
  • No public transportation is available so everyone has to drive to work.

  • There are quite a few things competing for the title of "Worst" here in Pasadena Texas. -The violent roving street gangs. -The pollution from all the oil refineries and traffic. -You can't get anywhere in this city unless you have a car, because the public transport is terrible and the raods are *Not* bicycle friendly. -Any form of "Art" or "Culture" in the city is very low brow and pseudo-intellectual. -The economy and job market are at all time lows because of the massive influx of cheap labor coming in from South of the border. -The general attitude of the populus seems to be one of immaturity and closed-minded masculinity. And quite a few other things, it's an abysmal litte city, really.

  • Let's see. The racism, the corrupt city council, the total lack of care for anything other then the football team, the drugs, sex and alcholo among the kids, the attitude of the kids, the building on every strip of bare land, the polution of the water supply by the Latex plant, and I could go on and on. Basicly your typical small midwestern town in Ohio, the Heart of it All.
  • Well my new hometown is Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. What's wrong with it? No decent theater. It's mostly cement. I don't know the names of the trees. When people come to Florida they check their brains somewhere else. The restuarant scene leaves much to be desired. Almost none of the good foriegn movies come here. The produce is second quality even in Whole Paycheck. What's good about it? Well, I do live in a great apartment on the beach. The library system is excellent. The meat can be okay, but I've had better. Yes, we did find a very good fish monger. And yes, there is one very good French Bakery that could make it in NYC. My wife loves the weather (even if she prays during hurricanes.) Why don't i go back to Manhattan? I can't afford it.
  • It's really my new hometown, I'm fairly new here, just two years. But, when they plow Main Street in my town, they plow the snow into the center of the street. Right down the center of the Main Street after a really good snow there will be 2-4 feet of snow. (We had several whoppers this year.) I have never seen this in any other town I have ever lived in.

(Promised no tax hike after high school was built, taxes went up 35% that year). Foolish voters re-elected same politician 2 years later.
