Yes. Morning prayer in high school and some other stuff. I really don't mind speaking in front of other people if I feel prepared.
-
no but i'd be willing to
-
Yes I have but I don't like it at all as I'm rather shy and quiet.
-
Yes i have, it was the most nervous i have ever felt:)
-
Yeah, I conduct company meetings every other week, We cut down by half, thank God as we ralized all these meetings were wasting dollars and employee's interests. I guess it's easier too when you are talking to people you most know after a while and I think now I could be able to talk to unknown crowds without dwelling on it as well :)
-
Yes.
-
No - not since intermediate school class speeches (large group = class full LoL). I cringe at the thought of crowds and am better one on one.
-
Yes, many times for my work.
-
once nearly !!! but just could not get near the microphone,,,oh well thats life,,,
-
no
-
I have, but didn't have a choice in the matter. Life (in these United States, anyway) has a way of putting you in front of a crowd even if you don't want to be.
-
I have on many occasions but there was a time that I really did not want to but Dale Carnagie helped me get over that fear...Now it's like riding bike not because it's easy remembering how to do it but because it is now easy to do...
-
Yes, I used to speak to bi-weekly group sessions of unemployed people.
-
Yes. Not something I relish doing again
-
Yes, and yes ;)
-
many times. I have no problem doing so
-
Yes I have.......quite a few times.
-
Yes, I did at graduation and look forward to having another chance to.
-
Yes, several times. It's odd, I'm very shy and do not perform well in social situations but out there, I do fine. Largest audience so far was around 1000, but I don't know if I have a limit.
-
I think the largest group of people I spoke in front of was about 1,000. I took a public speaking course in college, so I can speak in front of large groups of people without getting too nervous.
-
Yes, years ago, a number of times. Not that difficult you just have to be confident!
-
Yeah, but they weren't interested in what I had to say, which made it really easy.
-
I enjoy speaking in front of people.
-

As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, God finds ways of helping us develop all sorts of talents. One important one is learning to speak in front of large groups. Occasionally, these can even be more than 1000 people. When I was on the bishopric, I had to address nearly 200 every week. Once a month, during testimony meeting, many people get up almost every month to address the congregation; I get my share of opportunities.
-
I have, numerous times. Mostly I sing.
-
I'm deep down an introvert however job demands me to speak in front of large audiences / team members etc.
-
Yes, several times. It's not something that I am comfortable with ( knees knock, sweat, palpitations) but I can do it if the reason to speak is passionately important to me.
-
I started speaking in front of other recovering alcoholics, that made it pretty easy to go forward and do public speaking(the hardest was the first time,,it was to peers in high school, telling them the life I led while doing drugs and drinking at such a young age,I was 17 at that time)
-
I spoke in front of my 8th grade class and their families. A total of about 850 people. I had to write my own speech. I'm not good at improvising words, it has to be written down.
-
Yes, but only in Toastmasters! I was in it for a couple of years in the mid-1990's, when I was 40-41 or so, and joined expressly for that purpose - to get myself more comfortable making a speech in front of an audience. I would recommend it highly for anyone wishing to overcome fears of getting up in front of people - I gained a lot from my Toastmasters experience, and now, am not so intimidated as I used to be, if I have to make a speech (however short!) in front of many people.
-
no not really..... and i don't think i would be willing to..
-
i have. i would again with the right preparation.
