Lemme see, I happen to be a proud member of 'America's most mistrusted minority: Atheists' - who do you think labeled us such and what do you think the self-righteous do about it?
-
No. I think it's because I don't bash them over the head with my beliefs. I don't mind if people know I go to church but I'm low key with it.
-
horribly so Im a spiritist and folks think that means Im a pushover, or open to ignorant ridicule in any form, there always surprised when I dont try to argue with them but instead offer a gesture in passing!
-
No, I've been fortunate but I sure am learning how some users feel about the Jewish people through their questions, answers and comments relating to the current crisis in the Middle East. Sadly not surprising but very enlightening.
-
My dad. He is sure I have been bainwashed and am part of a cult. He only thinks that because it is not part of HIS cult <rolls eyes>
-
Ya people don't like it cuz I openly show it.
-
In real life? No. On AB, a few people have expressed their hostility to me via downrates because I have a religion. As if I would stop believing in God because of the red marks ;)
-
Yes! Everyone gets to gang up on me because I'm an atheist. I am going to *sooo* many different hells.
-
NO they are hostile because of my lack of religion.
-
No! I make it known that my religion is my religion, and I don't seek to shove it down anyone's throat.
-
That would depend on what side of the coin you're on. I think it's hostility, intimination & harassment but they claim to be doing it out of love, all of it, from the threats to the nastiness, it's all out of love
-
ha you betcha. oh well. life moves on. i like mlk's idea We must learn to live together as brothers or perish together as fools. -1964 . people don't listen
-
Yes, I am Jewish. I have been discriminated because of it and had incidents of people saying things. A few times I answered back with an fist. I stopped that a long time ago and just laugh in their face now, but it hasn't happened in years.
-
No, I never bumped into those people. Thank goodness!
-
Oh yeah, there's people who are openly hostile on here for that reason, and also for my politics. It's funny, but I think they have more courage on the internet, than they would have in person. I doubt most would be as rude in person.
-
Like the Christians who used to be thrown to the lions, the atheists are now being disapproved of by the Christians. As the world turns.....
-
Yes.
-
Not that I could tell, but than unless they threw a rock at me {and hit} I really don't think I'ld care.
-
yeah - or rather my lack of religion..... people can get quite over zealous.....
-
Never. I never try and impose my beliefs on anyone (as it is conversion into our religion is not allowed- you have to be born into it). I've never faced any problems.
-
Yes.
