  • Waste of money - yes, but if you really want your privacy and independency so much, then you should move out. Do what best suits you.
  • Do what you have the money to do. To me it would be a real waste of money but if it keeps you under your parents eye and you object to that; move out.
  • I was living on my own for the past 6 years with my husband (in an apartment) and just recently moved back in with my parents. The only reason I'm there is because there was no way I was able to save money to buy my own house. It's hell having to adjust to other people's (my parents) schedule, but in the end it will be worth it when I don't have to deal with hearing people awake at 2 or 3 in the morning still partying (my parents). It's like once their eldest kids got married and stuff, they became party animals. I would have to say it's a waste of money cause I didn't get anything out of it. One thing I did have was silence when I wanted it. But in the end I just lost tons of money on rent and utilities.
  • Based on the bad state of the economy, it would be very wise for you to stay at your parents while you can and save up your money. You never know when you're gonna need it and it you don't, you've got a good jump start on your retirement (and, NO, you're never too young to start planning for that)
