In Washington I don't think we have one state animal but it is broken down by animal type: The Official State Marine Mammal (I bullshit you not) is the Orca. The State Amphibian (are amphibians that important we need a state one?) is the Pacific Chrous frog The state fish is the steelhead trout. The state insect is the Green Darner Dragon Fly The State Bird is the willow goldfinch, which amazes me because I have never seen one. I see nothing but crows. Occasionally when near wetlands I see herons and a few other wet lands species. i have seen an occasional hawk or eagle. In the city I see pigeons.
