You can be tried as an adult pretty much at any time. However, you typically don't see it done to individuals under the age of 14. It's the court's decision.

Umm. Age doesnt matter in traffic court.

Pay the ticket or go to court and explain to the judge why you shouldn't have to pay the ticket. Then, pay the ticket. (Perhaps the fine will be reduced.)
-
Just pay the ticket..you can argue that little detail in court and probably annoy the judge into giving you a higher fine..but why? :)

Go to court and simply show your ID/birth certificate. Not sure if that will affect your ticket though. If you are a licensed driver you are subject to all the rules of road no matter if you are under 18 or not.

Traffic laws are largely unaffected by age.
