Liberalism may be determined by certain stances and not a total liberal quota. In other words, you might be able to "test out" of liberalism on paper, but not in the minds of true Republicans. :)

Why don't you just move to North Korea...then it dosen't matter what party you support!

Possibly all that 'Bush bashing,' among other things. If you're a Liberal, say it loud and say it proud!! No need to cover. BTW, on those tests, I score about 55% and am considered 'moderate.' According to those career aptitude tests from school, I was supposed to be in advertisement. According to the teachers, I was to be 'a bum on the streets.' According to LuckyLefty, I'm a moron. Just gotta figure out who's right here.

For the same reason they call Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, who are well to the right of the political spectrum for most issues, liberal - it's ideological.
-
It's all relative. From what I can tell all US politics are conservative, it's just that some are even farther to the right than others. Perhaps you are just not as fanatically right-wing as those who label you a liberal.

Narrow-minded ignorance.
-
Because you are not as far to the right as they....
-
You arent conservative until you get 110%.
-
Today's conservatives use the term 'liberal' to define anyone who disagrees with their idiotic policies and beliefs. Whenever some neocon piece of trash calls me a liberal, I smile and say, "Well, at least you didn't call me a Republican!"
-
With any fanatic, if you don't agree with them 100%, then you're a heretic.
