I've never had that problem and I use it all the time!! Are you sure there's nothing else you're doing that could make your hair fall out? Any other products or colourants?

I used Herbal Essences totally twisted curling gel & mousse, and the set me up hairspray for days at a time for about a year. My hair started falling out and is now thin. I've always had very thick hair and after using a lot of the hairspray and other products it's fallen out more and more.

oh crap i hope not! r u asking about all their products or just the hairspray/gel? cuz i use their products alot and im ok, but using too much hairspray or mousse makes my hair break easier. :(

Yes! I've only just made the connection and am seriously worried, my normally really thick hair is getting really thin, my hair is falling out on the bed, on the floor, on my clothes,everywhere! It's a shame as I have been using it for a while and found it made my hair really shiny and manageable, no good if it all falls out though! I ve used it for years , my grown daughters have used it for years all of us still have extremely thick and full hair none of us ever had any problems like that good luck with that

No, I don't think so. You may just be dealing with normal hair loss. Especially if your hair is long. It will fall out regularly as it is replaced by new hair. Try changing your hair care products for awhile to see if there is any change. I think you will find it is about the same.

yes it does ,,ive been using herbal essence for 7 months and my hair has been falling out for about 5 months ,,and i cfouldnt figure out why,,and i stopped using the herbal essence 2 weeks ago and now my hair has stopped falli9ng out

I don't know which of their products you're refering to but their new-ish shampoo and conditioner made my hair fall out =( I used the Dangerously Straight range...dangerous is right. I bought it after reading reviews that although it didn't straighten your hair, it made your hair easier to brush and my hair is very difficult to brush at times. After about 2-3 weeks of using it I noticed that my hair has been falling out in an increasing manner. I've heard that on average a person losses about 100 strands of hair...well I normally lost about 20-30 and after using this shampoo and conditioner I was losing about a handful while conditioning and brushing. I blamed the over overload of ALS in te Herbal Essences. Where normal shampoos contained one cleaning agent, Herbal Essences had both Ammonium Laureth Sulfate AND Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate. When I researched ALS and SLS (Sodium in place of Ammonium) it turned up with a lot of information and apparently it can cause some peopel hair loss and other problems. Since then, I've switched to "natural" shampoos which are SLS and ALS free. It's been about 4-5 months and my hair isn't falling out as much as it was when I used Herbal Essences but it's definitely still falling out a lot more than it used to. My hair is much thinner than it used to be. I don't think my hair will ever return to it's original state....but I can hope. I don't know if it'll make YOUR hair fall out because everyone is different but it certainly made mine fall out.

I've noticed that it doesnt make my hair fall out, but makes it easier to fall out. I've never had a problem with my hair falling out, I had really thick hair. Now, any time I put my hair up or back, the front of my hair thins out. It's seriously causing me problems. I am using the frizz ease, I had moved over from Pantene, but I think I'll go back. I'd never had a problem with this before, and it's pretty scary. And I don't use any products other than shampoo and conditioner in my hair. I've never had any use for them (thankfully). I've also noticed that while the newer eight to ten inches of my hair is really manageable the Herbal Essences shampoo is absolutely frying the ends of my hair. Never had a problem with that before, either...

If you are talking about the brand name Herbal Essence, the answer is absolutely not. If your hair is falling out when you use this product, there is something in the ingredients you are sensitive to. There is no way a product would continue to be profitable if it caused people's hair to fall out.

I used Herbal essence for a year- my hair used to be thick and voluminous but now it's VERY thin. I used the straightening shampoo along with one of their conditioners. It definitely straightened my hair, but also made it easier to fall out while brushing. I don't really believe it makes everyone lose hair, but I wouldn't recommending further use if you experience hair loss from it. I switched to Pantene after I figured Herbal Essence severely dried my scalp and made me lose a lot of hair. Additionally I also had other factors contributing to hair loss such as high stress levels, a short period of inactivity/unhealthful weight gain, and eating processed foods that lacked fibrous complexity which real foods had. I think you should eat more protein if you lack this in your diet and I think you should try out different shampoos- ones that have less acidity/Ammonium Laureth Sulfate... Since Pantene didn't help me stop hair loss, I started to use Head & shoulders and so far I lose less hair.. But I've also adjusted to healthier living habits as well.

ya dude sure does.. shamp'd it up and coo-coo- ca-chu hair fallin out left and right. usually its a few strands. but it was like a hampster! then i switched on over to the good ol' pantene. works like a charm

YES!! Our 14 year old daughter started using Herbal Essence Tousle Me Softly in August and within 2 weeks, her normally very thick long hair started to come out by the handfuls while in the shower!! There are some people that will not have a problem with shampoos, but those of you who are sensitive to Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (and it's in MOST shampoos unless specified) STOP USING IT!! We even went so far as having a doctor check her out and a full blood panel done -checking for any difficiencies. There were none! Just go to a shampoo that says that no SLF and ALF is used. There are many, even in the grocery stores. The hair loss has slowed down, and we're hoping it will return to a "normal" level of loss soon.I am writing to the company! Good Luck.
