  • Assuming you haven't seriously injured it (no swelling or lumps, I assume?) there are a few steps you can take to get it feeling better. - Heat (you ice an injury, to decrease swelling and numb the pain, you heat a sore muscle while it's healing to relax it, for the most part). Use a heating pad (they're cheap if you don't have one) and don't put it directly against your skin. Don't fall asleep on it either. You don't want to burn yourself. - Stretches. Be gentle at first but keep it up. Here are some stretches that have worked for me when my quads are sore: http://www.fpnotebook.com/orthothighstretch.htm You don't need the tube for this - http://www.sissel-online.com/exercise/quad_stretch_with_sissel_step_tube.php Second from the bottom - http://www.thebodysculptingmethod.com/StretchingProgramSample/ Try this one when you're feeling a little better (look down the page): http://www.specialolympics.org/Special+Olympics+Public+Website/English/Coach/Coaching_Guides/Football/Teaching+Sport+Skills/Lower+Body.htm
