  • ew, no our healthcare system is so messed up- you can get viagra but not birth control while on government health plans!
  • In terms of economy -- the US has the largest economy of any single nation. In terms of people -- the US third behind China and India. In terms of culture -- you will need to dictate the parameters by which a culture is ranked or judged. In terms of government -- what are your parameters for judging or ranking?
  • Yes, no, no and no
  • We have the largest economy. We have less people than China and India. There is no way to measure the culture of a country. And our government is not the best as far as im concerned. So if you were wondering if the US is the best country in the world, i would say no, but it depends on the person and their situation.

  • No the economy is shot, the people are just like any others, what are the cultural distinctives, the government is it appears settled on a fwe extra votes( therefore the minority choose a president etc) That is of course if you are meaning the USA as being America.
  • Amy Winehouse says 'No NO No'....
  • There are strengths and weaknesses of every nation. I equate wealth with how well we treat each other and how much time we make for being with those we love, be it family, friends and acquaintances. What are we alive for anyhow? What is most important?
  • I believe so. That bothers many people in and outside of the U.S.A. but the fact of the matter is that this country is the worlds leader. What happens here effects the entire world. Economies, people, cultures and governments watch the U.S. and react accordingly. Good bad or indifferent it plays a role.
  • 12-30-2016 What exactly do you mean by #1? Do you have any idea what "economy" actually means? How would you classify any of those other topics in numerical order? Just shouting "We're number one!" is not good enough.
  • Any ranking would be in the eye of the beholder. If people are willing to work hard and make the right plans and sacrifices they can do quite well here. But there is a good bit of resentment against people who do so. Not a lot of culture (I mean high culture) here except in certain urban areas. A lot of younger people seem to idolize and romanticize urban gang behavior so don't learn how to get along with people and work together with them. There is a lot of freedom here for personal expression and personal gratification but a lot of people seem to use it only to complain and mock others rather than to realize their own happiness. The government has become increasingly socialistic in the last 50 years so a lot of people no longer have as much incentive to work and better themselves because they just subsist on government welfare and relief programs. Consequently there is a lot of urban crime.
  • Canada is better in all categories mentioned. I lived in Canada for 7 years and wish I could afford to live there now which is hard to do on S.S.
    • Linda Joy
So you're saying America supports you better than Canada would?
