  • These starters suck. Get ready to work. Raise and support the vehicle. Up front you have to remove the upper two bolts and lower one bolt from the intake manifold support bracket. Be sure to disconnect the batter before doing anything. Underneath you have the remove the exhaust where it bolts on each end. I recommend soaking the exhaust bolts with WD-40 about 20-30 minutes before removing. After the exhaust is gone there are two upper and one lower bolt on the starter, as well as two wires going to the solenoid. After removing all of this the starter should come out. Have fun.
