I wish I could say Red Wings winning "The Stanley Cup", but I'm afraid the most famous things about the major city in my area is the scandalous and potentially criminal behavior of its mayor (Kwame Kilpatrick) and the city council being investigated by the FBI for selling their votes. Another big thing its famous for is the recent HUGE sales losses reported by the "Big Three" automakers.

Brussels is where the headquarters of NATO resides, as well as being considered the unofficial "capital of Europe" since the EU headquarters are located there, and Belgium itself (which is about the size of Maryland) is somewhat centrally located to many European destinations. I could go on and on about all the cultural things to do (visit the Grand Place, the Royal Palace, eat great food, etc). But my answer can only be so long. I just recommend Brussels to everyone! (But don't limit yourself to only Brussels, the rest of the country is beautiful as well!

Well the closest big city to me is Manchester....but I really don't think it's famous for anything. The next closest big city would be Boston and well...... and ps they are currently 50 and 37 which would be ahead of the Yankees......
