When proving that the angle subtended by the diameter of a circle is a right angle, is using the inscribed angle theorem in your reasoning appropriate? There's another way using radii and the ITT, but with the inscribed angle theorem it's only 2 lines.

I would only give you a fraction of the points for proving it in terms of the inscribed angle theorem, unless you proved the inscribed angle theorem in your answer too. But it's probably easier to prove the right angle from scratch than to recreate the inscribed angle theorem for the special case of the right angle.
