I prefer a button fly. Not many women's jeans have them, though. Hafta buy 501s

The button fly is pretty awesometastic, because they aren't sharp metal teeth. Also, you'll rarely ever leave the fly down. There are drawbacks; they're slightly more difficult to use when drunk or in a hurry. Plus, I'm fortunate enough to not have gotten stuck in a zipper before. I guess I just don't care, if there's a cool pair of pants and it has a button fly, I'm not going to not buy it. Same with a zipper.

I dislike having excess metal on or near me ... so I prefer either plastic zippers or nonmetallic buttons ... I have lots of both types of pants.

Zipper fly. Button flies take too long to unbutton and button when all you gotta do is pee.

I prefer a button fly. You can't button fast enough to cause any damage should skin get stuck.

I prefer a zip fly.

Zipper. It's faster. My fingers don't always work so well because of arthritis. Easier to use a zipper.
