  • No and No. It's not something we keep to ourselves. When we share it we get yelled at.
  • Not if they are right. If they are right then I would consider it selfless.
  • Your question is leading, but I will answer it anyway. Christianity means Christ like...which the whole world excepts that He whether God or Man was the ultimate character of selflesness and giving. Too many people look at the imperfect person who can only try to be Christlike but ever failing, and hang that on God/Christ. Actions speak louder than words. You either believe the bible or not. You can not pick and choose what you want to believe. I hope you come to the truth. Your on the right track just by questioning what you see and hear...keep it up.
  • I think you are lumping "christians" into one big group and just like anyone else we are not all the same. I will not tell you that you are going to hell because you don't agree with me, why would I do that, that is a sin and no better then what I would consider what you are doing a sin. I do think that you were not being very respectful when you asked this question and that is why you are being DRed so bad. You don't ask a question in this manner about ANYTHING and not expect to be reprimanded for it, that is just what happens when you are rude. I hope you get what you are really looking for and have a great day;~}
  • I believe that SOME Christians behave like that, and no I don't believe it's selfish, but I do believe it's foolish.
  • I think the majority of Christians are polite people willing to discuss religion if asked but not walking around proselytizing. Fundamental and evangelical Christians have the corner on that, and personally nothing has driven me further from core Christian beliefs than this group. But I think most Christians are great.
  • I don't know if it's selfish but having seventh day people, JW people, Mormon people, etc, etc knocking on my door to spend an hour or so talking about their religion is way beyond a pain in the ass. I believe in Christianity I just don't believe in con men and false prophets. If you want to believe it fine quit shoving it down my throat I don't care
  • Sure...some Christians are as you describe. It's despicable behavior. Equally despicable are non-Christians and their obsession with Christianity. ("Forgive them Father for they know not what they do.") What would you think of me if I carried feces on my head and continually ranted about how disgusting it was? You'd probably think, "Why does that fool voluntarily foul himself and go about ranting about the stench to anyone that will listen? For heaven's sake, man, shut up and wash it off!" This is what I think of the "Ranting Non-Christian". They're better Christians than Christians are because they're so obsessed with Christianity they think about it CONSTANTLY. They use every opportunity to glorify God since they constantly force Christians to defend their beliefs. Of course they're quite insane. Sane people AVOID anything to do with that which they dislike, not embrace it. Perhaps both extremes will...eh...see the light one day.
  • For the most part "Christians" only parrot what they hear from the pulpit and do little more than a cursory reading of the Bible. I consider them Christian in name only. This causes total misunderstanding of what Christianity and the Bible really means. JWs study their bible and know it very well but I have read parts of their bible and it is raddled with false teachings.
  • We believe that because Jesus died for the sins of all mankind that we may have everlasting fellowship with God it is rather foolish not to take advantage of such a gift from God. We also believe that if we accept this gift. we are called by God.because it is available to all regardless but is up to us whether we choose to accept it or decline it. We know we are sinners which is why we need this gift. Those who choose not to accept it may not be consigned to hell but they are on their own. No through the indwelling of The Holy Spirit we must love all and treat all well regardless of what they choose or do not choose.
  • 1-13-2017 You are not being honest. You don't need anybody's opinion, you already have one of your own. What you are saying is that Christians generally have not learned the gospel they are trying to teach. That is correct. Christian churches stopped teaching doctrines a long time ago. That is part of the deceit of the devil: he wants to replace rightness and wisdom with tradition and authority. It is not reliable to let people tell you what the bible says. Many people will make up stuff because they don't know what it says, and many will make up stuff because they wish it would not say what it says. You just have to read it for yourself. Read a chapter of Proverbs every day. Proverbs has 31 chapters so you can keep your place by just looking at a calendar. There is no religion or nothing in Proverbs and you don't have to believe anything. Just read to find wisdom. When you are comfortable with that, then read the bible from Romans to 2 Thessalonians over and over until you start to remember what it says. That is the part that applies to Christians.
  • Cute little anti Christian rant here kemosabe. Of course anybody who disagrees with you must also be "selfish" eh.
  • No. (Hint: Christians aren't zombies.)
  • To be honest some have been mislead and don’t know what the Bible actually teaches. In the Bible We are told to approach people with love.
  • Zombies? No. And not all Christians are alike. Some fit your description. Others do not. And no, it is not "selfish" to make the claims you describe -- it is arrogant.
  • All Christian denominations have their way of seeing things. My religious beliefs of being a Seventh-Day Adventist does not condemn people to hell. It is against the Bible to pass judgment. Romans 2:1 "Therefore you have no excuse, O man, every one of you who judges. For in passing judgment on another you condemn yourself, because you, the judge, practice the very same things."
  • I'm a Christian I couldn't care less about you joining my church or any church I don't want a penny from you I don't want you to bend down and worship! I want you to go out and get your fill of sin and of Satan I want you to get your butt literally kicked till you're in the gutter and you hit rock bottom. When you're ready to have a nice house and drive a nice car and have your pockets full of money and not have to worry about the law chasing you are some drug dealer looking to kill you because you owe him money when you're ready to have low insurance rates a high credit score a nice spouse and a healthy family please by all means let me teach you about Jesus and the life that he offers! Far be it from me to deprive you of the fun that you're going to have with the devil and his buddies LOL
