no. but i take what comes at me only if i need it. i think that if you think you deserve the finer things you have a little bit of a selfish side, save a few exeptions.

No. I may like the finer things in life, but I can't say I deserve them. EDIT: I meant this in a general sense. It's not so much about feeling that I don't deserve good things, as it is not being arrogant enough to take this amazing gift of life for granted. When that happens, you get into a mind-set of, "I deserve good things", which goes to, "Because I'm a good person who's done good things." But that's not the way life works. If it did, the inverse would also be true - "I deserve bad things because I'm a bad person who's done bad things" and we know that doesn't ring true. Worse, it's harmful to a culture or a society when its members believe that the good and valued people are those with wealth and possessions. Believing we deserve anything - good or bad - is a variation on ego-based, "I'm entitled to ________" thinking. The result? The joy and wonder in life and living are lost.
