  • 5/19/2025, never. Why? New cars are overpriced these days. And besides, they depreciate rapidly. Whereas, used cars that have been properly maintained can offer reliable transportation for many years.

      I don't know what 5vz-fe means. I used to do most of the maintenance myself, for years. At 195,000 miles more or less. I had to replace the clutch. I hired somebody to do that though.

      5vz-fe is the engine one of my favorite toyota v6 engines thirsty but reliable . Mine wanted a clutch when I got rid of it.

      Ah then, mine does have a v-6 motor, but I don't know the designation. It's probably that same one though. It gets between 17-19 mpg unless I have to use 4 low-range. The mileage goes down then.
