Don't know about the greatest but this from Cover Girl is one of the most impressive I know of. We see 2 Gene Kellys, filmed separately, keeping time with one another. When this was filmed, he couldn't see the previous filming of himself and yet got the shot in one take (saw this on a special about great dancers.) The second, Summer Stock Dance, is pretty amazing too as we see him dance with a newspaper. You may notice some moves in these that were revived in the 80's (minus the taps) that we all thought were new at the time.

There have been many very good ones listed already however I think my favorite was Yul Brenner and Debra Kerr in their movie The King and I when he and the school teacher was teaching him how to walz. It was really great and beautiful too!
