  • I've seen a few of both. A hickey is the size and shape of the person's mouth that gave it. A bruse is usually the size plus of the area that ramed into something hard. Could be almost any size. They both represent excess blood near the surface of the skin due to an injury. If I was to give her a hickey, it probably wouldn't be on her leg.
