Varied and many. Neurological problems especially. Aspartame has caused holes in the brains of mice and rats. The two parts involved in the make up of aspertame has been proven to cause headaches, as well as playing with the seritonin and norapenephrine levels in the brain(mood controllers). Sweet Misery the movie (I can't do links) is a very important examination of this product. I stopped letting my kids touch that stuff and wouldn't ya know their headaches just about disappeared. Extreme instances of overdosing on this stuff can cause wood alcohol poisoning, as part of it changes chemical makeup once it hits the body. Seriously, if you can find the proper Sweet Misery movie or site, you should check it out.
