i have one now thats been going for several days. I wouldn't really call it a matching of wits though...it's three people asking me to provide facts to support my argument..and when I do as they have asked..I get called mad, fanatic and "people like you" among other things..I'm still waiting for them to support their arguments......Whatever their arguments may be..the only thing I can figure so far is they think I'm a "fanatic" of course..what they think of me has nothing to do with the subject matter!

Does two comment threads with half wits count?;)

I did so with Stableboy a few weeks ago... before he left. :( (He "won", of course)

I guess it was about 2 months ago with somebody whose user name was something like A Quib. It was in response to one of his(?) ad nausea questions asserting that atheists have no reason to live because their purpose in life isn't determined by a deity.

I can't even keep up anymore!:)

About 2 to 3 weeks ago. And they are ALWAYS about politics. The crazy thing is that I've spent the last 20 minutes looking for a good specimen to post with this message and couldn't find a single one! I wish there were a way to view your entire comment history... EDIT: For your viewing enjoyment, I tender this exchange, a 2 on 1 debate on Barack Obama. This was not handpicked for the exchange itself, it was the first lengthy exchange that I was able to find. http://www.answerbag.com/a_view/2316057

I usually give it up after 3 or 4 responses each. It's not fair to the questioner.

I'm not here to match wits with anyone, so I've never been in an EXTENDED comment thread.

Currently I am engaged in such a thread.

A week ago. Care to match wits right now?

When I first joined AB. It was over a dumb topic, blood type I think. I think they had it out for me.
