I believe the garden of eden and apple can be looked at as metaphors to our childhood are time in the garden then we arive at our adolesence and become aware of the other sex puberty is the apple that we all eat.

That,..... or they were hungry...(yet, another metaphore, haha)

No. I do not believe Adam and Eve ever existed and therefore can not believe they ate the apple at all.

I think it is because Adam and Eve were, to begin with, ignorant. Stupid. For God's sake, they knew NOTHING! Hence, Eve was duped into eating the so-called "apple". And afterward, she duped Adam into doing the same (because, before that point, he was gullible).

That's not what The Bible says. First of all it wasn't an apple. Secondly they did it because they were tempted of Satan. Genesis 3: https://www.lds.org/scriptures/ot/gen/3?lang=eng

Assume facts not in evidence -- Adam, Eve, an apple, a perfect life. Now "bored," that has been with us since the beginning -- may well be reason for the story, may be the reason for established religion.
