OK, I'll bite on this question, since you don't appear to know the "correct" answer. Since I'm (apparently) older than you, I'll give you some approximations: 1- the best bottle I've ever tasted was in a restaurant in Dublin in 1986 for 100 pounds. 2- the best bottle I ever saw offered on a wine list was for restaurant in West Orange, NJ in 1984, (1945 Lafitte, 1945 Mouton)- each listed at $1,000 a bottle. 3- the best bottle I ever saw in person was in the cellar of a Scottish restaurant in 1991 - it was the 1879 Mouton Rothschild. This wine was unpriced (and unavailable) on the menu but was rumored to be available at 5,000 pounds ($6,500) - with the appropriate dinner of Lamb, of course.
