I have done so. It wasn't pretty.
-
James "The Ragin' Cajun" Carville has done just that.
-
yes, and she was still hot.
-
I think it would make for some lively conversations.
-
I never talk politics at least from an election standpoint. I think the entire process is ludacris with all the money spent and sniping back and forth comments, so I could care less. I do vote, but am registered independent. I'll kiss, date or do any other number of things to a Republican or a Democrat.
-
Can you imagine the sex?
-
If she looked like this..
-
hmmm.. well, I think the conversations would be amazing.. and the arguing would just be great! So, sure! I'd try it atleast :)
-
Yes. Arnold Schwarzenegger did and married her, and he hasn't suffered from it.
-
Date, maybe, but politics would have to be off limits.
-
Sure. Why not? My ex and I were. On vote day, we said we were going to cancel out each other's votes. And my current wife is not of the same party.
-
Most certainly
-
Remember years ago Democrats where conservatives and Republicans were liberals. Yes I would BTW.
-
I probaly couldn't date a liberal but a democrat, maybe. As long as we share some of the same views of the world and are compatible in other areas we should have no problems.
-
Sure, as long as we agreed to respect each other's viewpoints.
-
Probably not.
-
I married him and our discussions are more lively because we don't agree. But I think so far we are leaning towards the same candidate for president. We'll see.
-
Of course! Political party preference isn't a valid reason to avoid dating a particular person. I value people with their own opinions... especially women I have dated or would date. Would you avoid dating somebody who doesn't like the same sports teams as you? I would hope not! Besides... differences like this could make it fun and interesting around football season, baseball season, or election time! ;)
-
I would because really I am in the middle between the two depending on the issues at hand. I happen to be the same party as my s/o though he's right there with me. I am going to try to get him to vote coming up this year...he's never voted and i ALWAYS vote
-
yes of course..makes for some great arguments....and make up sex!
-
Really, what's politically opposite of centrist? Extremist!?! I hate extremism. I avoid those types, like the plague.
-
It wouldn't be their political party that would be the problem, it would be their radically different views on some issues that I feel very strongly about: abortion, illegal immigration, the death penalty, etc. I couldn't spend my life with someone who's values were different than mine.
-
Yes, when my husband and I were first dating we were of different political parties. Since that time I switched to his party so now we're the same. :)
-
yeah, of course.
-
Sure, as long as we could enjoy our time together!
-
What is opposite of centrist? Extremist? No thanks! I think it's all a matter of respect, though. Being treated right is a top priority. I would be willing to date someone whose views are different from my own, maybe. Sometimes, differences make life more worth living (and one more worth loving).
-
I have been doing so for nearly 2 years. I love him so much even though he told me that there is no point in discussing politics.
-
yea i am right now. im an Obama supporter and he's republican. but we realize we have different views and we except it. we could debate all day if we wanted to and some how its a turn on.lol.
-
yes, I would only when he and I discuss political issues, Dating someone who has different political view as you does not matter as long as you too get along and politics does not come in the relationship.
