I know I don't let gender effect the way I hand out points, and I'm 99.9% sure that the other members feel the same way.

being a female no,but if you are female and have a good looking avatar and maybe a couple of pictures then you will get more points and friend requests,you will get positrolled and more comments,its a fact sex sells.

1) Not much. Actually, I am not a female. ;-) 2) Nice looking picture could have an influence. But many males have nice looking pictures too! So I don't think it has really much influence.

I don't see how we would know the gender of the person unless we actually meet them in person. I am only positive of a few members gender because I have met or talked to them on the phone. I don't think it matters one way or the other.

Do this: Create a new ID with some ugly dude pic you get off the net as avatar. At the same time create another new ID with a hot chick as avatar. Answer every question as equally as you can. Ask very similar questions with each. Do not comment to anyone or relay any other thing about yourself. You will have your answer, and I think you know what it is.

I doubt it. I would like to think that the wit, wisdom, and quality of one's answers would have the most influence on points.

I wouldn't say a BIG role, but let's be honest: being a flirt can sometimes play to one's advantage. However, I'd say a bigger advantage is gained by putting forth quality answers and questions and contributing to the AB community in a positive and respectful way. Personally, I rate based on the content of answers and questiuons. Are there some folks I find myself continually giving positive feedback to? Sure, but because I respect them...not because they have boobies:)
