  • Though I don't know first hand, sounds like a Codec issue. If you know what Codec's are, I'd suggest getting the CCCP and K-lite packs. If you don't, Codecs are like software that write or read video and audio files. Think of them as the answer code for a secret message, only they can understand what you try to play. Every video/audio file you play gets 'read' by this integrated codec. I would suggest, since the video is being coded by Flip Video, go to their website and look around for a download of a codec, as well, if the media in which you are recording with came with a CD, Install any and all software it supplies. Also if you are using a PC and quicktime, that might present fundamental errors between Mac and PC. If you have a Mac, the codec downloads should fix it.
